Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz have admitted that they don’t know whether their Bones characters Booth and Brennan will get together. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Deschanel suggested that Brennan may struggle to deal with Booth’s new love interest.

“There won’t be a catfight,” she said. “[Booth] is someone that she loves and she wants him to be happy, you know? As painful as that can be, she wants what’s best for him. And I think that’s a much bigger love than someone who’s going to be cat-fighting with somebody.

“That said, there’s obviously some jealousy there. I think that there’s a little bit of Brennan that’s realising that she might have made a mistake.”

However, Boreanaz admitted that he doesn’t know whether Booth and Brennan will begin a relationship this season.

“Everyone asks us, like, ‘What’s the moment, what’s the season, what’s the episode?’” he said. “You kind of want to continuously let these characters find out more about themselves and their pitfalls so they’re stronger when they do possibly get together, however that is. Maybe we never will.”

However, Deschanel said: “I believe they belong together and I hope that they do end up together and that happens for sure.”

Reunited! Season six will be all about bringing the gang back together. “We start this season taking a look at how things are going for them split up and why would they come together again,” Hart dishes. “And really, it’s about how you get a family back together again when mom and dad split up.”

International Fun! Before everyone gets back together, we’ll see them in their new lives. “We’re going to see Brennan in Indonesia and we will see Booth in Afghanistan before they come back.”

New Gal on the Block! What’s the deal with Booth’s new love interest? “I never said that!” Hart laughs. “And I keep refusing to say it. But, we have cast an actress to play a part for some episodes in the show,” he finally reveals with a coy smile. You sly devil.

Sticking Around! “I know that we can do a very good job for another couple of years. I think eight seasons would be good. I could see us going a solid eight seasons.”

Angela and Hodgins Forever! Here’s some happy shipper news! “There’s a million stories that come from being an actual together couple,” Hart reasons. “Angela and Hodgins are a great couple, and we’re just going to work our way through those things. They’re going to stay together. They’re going to face every obstacle.”

Bones and Booth Forever? When asked about having a season where those two crazy kids finally are a couple, Hart simply answered, “I don’t not see it happening. I will say this, I have no interest in them getting together on the last day of the series.”

“The time apart may have given me some time to reflect and consider that I might have made a mistake when I said no to getting together when he put his heart out there,” Emily spills. “But now he’s got this girl so it causes a little conflict.”

That’s right, shippers. Make way for another lady in Booth’s life. If you need something to throw at your computer, we suggest something soft. Who does this new woman think she is?

“She’s a war correspondent who I met while over there in Afghanistan,” David says. “We’ll see how that builds as far as what it does to our (Booth and Brennan) relationship. I can say honestly I don’t think it’s going to do much to the relationship. It’ll challenge it. It might make her a little jealous.”

“It’s kind of scary to me!” Emily interrupts. “This lady is coming in!”

Easy, woman. You had your chance! Clearly, Booth feels the same way in that regard.

“It’s threatening, but it’s also refreshing to see Booth, who’s put himself out there at the end of season five and said ‘Here is everything, I’m gonna be there’ and she said ‘No, I can’t do that right now’,” David recaps a little bitterly. “And he said, ‘OK, I have to make choices, I have to move forward right now’. And in doing so he’s made a few choices and he comes back with that.”

Get ready to see some of Tamara Taylor’s great acting chops when Bones returns. Cam sets up an on-air interview and unbeknownst to her, the journalist only intends on grilling her about an ongoing, and very sensitive, investigation. And without revealing the case at hand, let’s just say things get ugly very quickly.

Last time we saw “Bones,” the Jeffersonian crew parted ways at an airport, with Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) going off to opposite ends of the earth to pursue their respective loves of do-goodery and corpse probing. And they never saw each other again.

Um, clearly not. Everyone on “Bones” will probably reunite in the first five minutes of the season 6 premiere, but how much time has passed and what brings them back together are the variables at play. Until now. SPOILERS BELOW.

EW chatted with “Bones” executive producer Stephen Nathan, dispelling rumors that the new season will pick up one year after the events of the last. No, the one-year jump is a desperate move. “Bones” is content with only seven months.

As for the circumstances of the reunion, apparently it’s to save their buddy Cam (Tamara Taylor). Unsurprisingly, her job performance falls behind without a crack team at her disposal, and when one super-stumper of a case puts her position at the Jeffersonian in the balance, Booth and Brennan come to her rescue.

Hmmm…That is the question for the lovely Emily Deschanel, who–newsflash–doesn’t just star on Fox’s Bones but is also a producer (not just a pretty face!) and therefore has her say in what happens with her character, Bones, and David’s character, Booth, in the coming season.E! Online chatted up Emily, and asked the question you fans have been shouting from the rooftops…

“Are Booth and Bones ever going to flipping get together?!”

And if you aren’t aware that is the question, well, then you didn’t see Bones’ juicy 100th episode in which Bones and Booth came thisclose to sealing the deal.

“[In] the 100th episode we came very close,” Emily answered carefully. “And I think we keep moving forward.” Ah, this girl is good. Moving forward…into each other’s arms? “I was just talking to Hart Hanson, the creator of our show, about if Booth and Brennan get together in the next season, and I can’t tell you what we decided.”
