"I'm a vegan, but you can be really unhealthy as a vegan, too. Vegan just means that you don't use animal products, so you don't wear leather, you don't wear wool, and you don't eat animal products. But you can eat french fries and stuff like that all day long."

As creator and exec producer of ABC’s Castle, Andrew W. Marlowe has spent a whole lot of the last three years keeping his title character and Beckett apart, and wondering how long that can go on. One thing he does know: He’d be getting pretty anxious right about now if he were Bones‘ Hart Hanson and the couple in question was Booth and Brennan.
“Bones is heading into its seventh year,” Marlowe observes to TVLine, “and there comes a point where you put up or shut up. Otherwise, the characters become brother and sister. You can’t extend that tension that long without your fans breaking. And I know that people still watch the show and it’s still popular… I just think it [starts to] morph into something else.”
Mind you, Marlowe can certainly empathize with the position Hanson and his fellow Bones scribes are in. “Part of my challenge [with Castle and Beckett] is to figure out a way in which to do it when the time is right so it feels like a great moment in the series and a great next step in this love story that we’re telling,” he says. “But [we] also [have to] figure out how there’s storytelling beyond that.
“I’m on record in a number of places saying that there’s plenty of storytelling left after these guys get together, because there are complications in those relationships,” he continues. “Once you’re in a relationship, it doesn’t necessarily become easier. So I feel like I can afford to get to the point where these two actually sleep together and have a relationship, I just don’t feel instinctively that we’re there yet at the end of season 3.”
If Bones does end up going there with its central duo in next month’s finale — and all signs seem to point in that direction — you can be sure Marlowe will be monitoring the on- and off-screen fallout next season. “Hopefully, Hart will find a way to do it where he can extend the storytelling,” says his Castle counterpart. “And if [he's successful], it will certainly give some relief to the folks over at Fox that there can be storytelling beyond that.”

A very sincere mazel tov is in order, since Bones star Emily Deschanel recently announced that she and husband David Hornsby are expecting their first child later in 2011. And now that we’ve spent a few hours being happy for them and their impending bundle… it’s time to think about our show.
An off-camera pregnancy is bound to affect the dynamic of the show, no matter which way you cut it. And the way we see it, one of three scenarios will play out in the coming year when “Bones” returns for its not-yet-confirmed-but-obviously-happening Season 7.
1. Brennan gets pregnant too
We’d hate to see happenstance dictate storyline, but worse things have happened. There have been multiple hints that Brennan and Booth (David Boreanaz) might finally get together at the end of Season 6. And, as many an unexpected parent know, one time is all it takes.
There is, of course, the chance that Brennan could get pregnant by some other means or man — but really, we just don’t see that happening. It’s clearer all the time that our duo are intended to get together at some point, and they’ve already dealt with more than enough obstacles and third wheels.
2. Strategically-placed corpses
The classic TV maneuver of covering up a baby bump with props is more common on sitcoms — pillows, lampshades, roast turkeys, etc. — so imagine the how much fun they could have hiding Deschanel’s bun with rotting, disfigured body parts and various laboratory paraphernalia?
We feel like this is the sort of thing “Bones” writers would kill to play around with.
3. A summer delivery leaves the show unaffected
That pretty much says it all. Deschanel has not shared her due date, and any time before September could technically leave production unaffected — though it’s natural to assume she might want to skip an episode or two after the baby comes. Even TV stars deserve maternity leave.
Have we thought of everything? Is there a particular scenario you’re rooting for? Any baby names in mind? Sound off in the comments. (Source)

Ask Ausiello has posted some Bones spoilers regarding whether or not Emily’s real life pregnancy will be reflected into the show. Take a look below:
Euestion: Any idea if Emily Deschanel’s pregnancy will be worked into Bones? —Megan via Facebook
Ausiello: Producers are still deciding what impact, if any, Deschanel’s future baby bump will have on Brennan’s storyline. One thing’s for sure: Any possible plot tweaks wouldn’t play out on air until fall. The scripts for this season’s final episodes have already been written and they’re not changing.

In its six seasons on Fox, Bones has welcomed plenty of guest stars. Oscar nominee Ryan O’Neal has been on several times as Dr. Temperance Brennan’s father. Nightmare On Elm Street star Robert Englund made a memorable appearance, as did Zooey Deschanel, the sister of star Emily Deschanel.
Plenty of musicians have graced the set as well, from ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons’ recurring character, to Buckcherry singer Josh Todd, to ’80s rockers Motley Crue. With so many guest stars to choose from, which one do David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel agree was their favorite?
David: Stephen Fry.
Emily: Yeah, it was a dream to work with him.
David: He was great. He just brought something different unique energy to the set. It was great to be around.
Emily: He is so smart, lovely and humble even though he has accomplished so much and done so many things. You can talk to him about anything. You can bring up any subject and he’ll know about it

Ask Ausiello has posted even more “Bones” spoilers fans can look forward to regarding the sniper! Find out below:
Question: Please don’t say that a major character from Bones is being whacked. —Shayna
Ausiello: I promise I won’t… use those words exactly. But in this season’s penultimate episode, I hear Mr. Evil Sniper will do a bad thing to someone we know. Even worse, this was pretty much confirmed by exec producer Stephen Nathan. “Our people work in a very dangerous and risky job,” he told me. “One of them will realize the extent of that danger. And it will be shocking.”/blockquote>

Bones producer Stephen Nathan has revealed that star Emily Deschanel’s directorial debut has been delayed again. Deschanel originally intended to helm the 14th episode of the Fox drama’s current sixth season, but the actress later confirmed that her plans had been postponed until around episode “20 or 21″.
However, Nathan recently told Give Me My Remote that Deschanel is now unlikely to direct until early in the seventh season.
“I don’t think she’s going to direct this season,” he said. “It became a very complicated issue scheduling-wise and I think we want her to do it when she’s fresh. [It will] probably [be] the beginning of next year.”
He added that a desire to have Deschanel feature heavily in the sixth season’s final episodes had led to the further delay.
“It was a bit unfair to her and also a little bit to the show,” he claimed. “We would have had to write her out and we really didn’t want to end the year with Emily being light in a few shows.”
Bones continues on Thursdays at 8/7c on Fox. (Source)
