Emily Deschanel chatted with ET about losing the baby weight and rumors of her show ending. The actress, who gave birth to her first child named Henry Hornsby in September 2011, tells Entertainment Tonight:
“My character was pregnant she’s the normal woman. She can take the time that it takes to lose the weight and I’m doing that myself. Yeah I haven’t lost all my weight yet hopefully I will eventually.”
The actress maintained a vegan diet throughout her pregnancy and has done so for 19 years. On being a new mom Deschanel says, “I love seeing his personality blossom.”
Emily says the rumors about her show not coming back are false. She says filming begins in July. “Our show was picked up months ago so it is coming back for the 8th season in September,” she revealed.

Bones creator Hart Hanson went on a Twitter hiatus after the show’s May finale, but he says “about 400 e-mails” alerted him to comments star David Boreanaz made on Twitter Wednesday night about next month’s San Diego Comic-Con appearance “quite possibly” being the show’s last. Boreanaz also included comments about being “a free agent” come next spring, noting “you must always keep your options open.” Are the show’s producers, who returned to the writers’ room on Monday, plotting season 8 as though it’s the series’ last? No, Hanson tells EW exclusively. “We are in no way planning for it to be the last season. I mean anything can happen in a complicated world,” he says, “but we’re very, very confident in having at least a season 9, and I can see as far as season 10 before my eyes get misty.”
Some fans are wondering if this is Boreanaz, whose contract is up at the end of season 8 along with costar Emily Deschanel’s, starting negotiations early. “If he is, then man, hats off to him. I would like him to consult with my agents next time if he’s thinking that far in advance,” Hanson says, with a laugh. “Really, I think more likely he’s just playing around…. If you cross Tom Sawyer with Ferris Bueller, you get David Boreanaz. He loves a brouhaha. That should be his middle name. But I don’t think, even for him, he meant to cause this brouhaha.” Hanson can’t completely rule it out though. “All his incendiary tweets,” he says, with another laugh, “have an element of truth to them. It’s never out of nowhere. It’s always connected to something, and his deal is up at the end of season 8, so it’s like, ‘Hey, how much do you love me?’ It’s possible. But again, that’s awfully far in advance.”
Boreanaz has shown no signs of weariness or dissatisfaction with the series, Hanson says. “I believe he is certainly hoping for season 9. I don’t think he’s getting tired of it. I think he’ll probably want a little more money when he next has a chance, but that’s completely par for the course. That’s just the way things go,” he says. But for now, “I know him well enough after all these years. He’s just having some fun,” he says.
Hanson will be writing the season 8 opener with fellow exec producer Stephen Nathan. Brennan (Deschanel), who’s being framed for murder by serial killer/hacker Christopher Pelant (Andrew Leeds), is still on the run, and Pelant is “free and thriving” at the start of the episode. “I think the end of the first episode could be a cliffhanger in its own way. This story is giving us a lot of mileage,” Hanson says. “I’m knockin’ on wood because we haven’t written it yet, but I think it might be our best season opener.” (Source)
A day after Warner Bros. TV announced its lineup for Comic-Con 2012, 20th Century Fox has revealed the shows and stars from its stable of programs that will be featured throughout the dizzying weekend of panels and press rooms. More studios will come out with their schedules in the coming days, but it’s worth noting: Fox is NOT bringing Glee to Comic-Con this year.
FRIDAY, JULY 13
Bones (Fox) | Creator and executive producer Hart Hanson, executive producer Stephen Nathan and stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel will be on hand to discuss the shocking finale of Season 7 as well as what’s in store for Booth and Brennan in Season 8.

Ask Ausiello has posted some Bones spoilers regarding the upcoming 150th episode and possibly bringing in some Finder cast members! If you want to remain spoiler-free, do not continue reading.
Question: Will Bones be doing anything special for its 150th episode next season?
Ausiello: I have no idea — those are Hart Hanson’s words, not mine. “We’ll do something fun,” the EP assures of the landmark hour, which will likely air at midseason. “But I haven’t thought that far ahead.”
Question: Any chance some of the Finder cast might land on Bones next season?
Ausiello: Don’t think the thought hasn’t crossed the mind of the man in charge of both shows. “I would love that so much,” says Hanson. “But you would have to make sure it wasn’t self-indulgent. And I don’t have a sense right now how much the Bones audience would like to see that. And I don’t know if the Finder audience would want it to happen. But I personally think it would be great.” Hanson concedes that he’s still “exceedingly depressed” about The Finder‘s cancellation, confessing, “It’s hard to let go.” He also says that after some “initial wariness,” the Bones cast warmed up to “the Finder upstarts,” adding, “They all became very fond of each other. David [Boreanaz] really liked working with Geoff [Stults]. They got along terrifically well, so it would be fun to have them on [Bones].”
Question: Are the Bones producers approaching the upcoming eighth season as the show’s last?
Ausiello: Hell no. “I could see Season 9 or 10 being the last,” says series creator Hart Hanson. “But definitely not [Season 8]. Post Booth and Brennan being together, there’s a good three seasons [of story] left.”
I’ve come across some images of Emily from the Perfect Family press conference. The press conference was held on May 8th in Los Angeles, California. Head over to the gallery for the latest additions.
