Great news Bones fans!
FOX has announced the season 8 premiere will take place, Monday, September 17th! The show will maintain its previous time slot, airing on Mondays at 8:00 pm ET, and will consist of 24 episodes. Executive producer Stephen Nathan commented that season eight will include storylines that were originally intended for the previous season, but due to the shortened episode count, they were not able to write them in.
The extra four episodes that were ordered by Fox for the previous season will be aired during season eight.
I’ve added a portrait photo from Comic-Con 2012 featuring Emily and David Boreanaz promoting Bones into our gallery. Hopefully some additional portraits of the pair will be released! Head over to the gallery for the latest additions.

Yesterday, Emily attended the Comic Con 2012 with David Boreanaz and executive producer Stephen Nathan. I’m still sourcing out a video of the complete Bones panel but did manage to find this 7-minute clip. The panelists were very charming and the clip is definitely worth checking out!

The Bones stars gathered with executive producer Stephen Nathan, who filling in for Bones creator Hart Hanson, who was unable to attend due to an eye injury. The trio offered some scoop on the show’s upcoming Season 8, and Fox released a trailer that contains some new footage from the upcoming season.
TV Guide Magazine columnist William Keck reports that Season 8 will pick up three months after the Season 7 finale, when Brennan was framed for murder by Pelant and had to flee with the couple’s daughter. Nathan revealed that Season 8 will feature a “darker tone” than previous seasons, and Pelant will “continue to be a major force.” Head over to the gallery for the latest additions.

Bones may have had a small panel of only three people, but they proved quantity doesn’t equal quantity. Read a rundown of the fun that went down during the Bones panel in Ballroom 20.
The Panel: Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz and executive producer Stephen Nathan
The Big Revelations: Many! Here’s a rundown:
An undercover episode is being planned that will find Booth ballroom dancing! “Will I be wearing a tight, shiny, one-piece suit?” Boreanaz asked, mildly concerned.
Cam’s (not so new) Love:
Cam’s getting a boyfriend — and it’s someone we know! “[It will be someone] who will be very interesting to see her with,” says Nathan.
Hacker Christopher Pelant Will Stick Around for Much of the Season:
“Pelant will be a cloud that hangs over them,” says Nathan.
Booth’s family will be explored “a little more,” says Nathan. “I think it’s time to see his mother.”
Will we ever see THAT night?
It doesn’t sound like there are plans to flash back to the night Bones and Booth first slept together, but Nathan said separation might bring them close together once again. “They’ve been apart for three months, who knows?” Meanwhile, Boreanaz joked that he’s disappointed that his recommendation for the pair’s first encounter was not taken. “I wanted to put her up on the washing machine and just go at it. I had change for a dollar!” he joked.
Bones on the Run:
The new season will pick up three months after the season finale, but it’s likely that Booth hasn’t spent all that time twiddling his thumbs. “At this point everyone’s patience is very, very thing,” said Nathan, who wouldn’t share the details of Bones’ time on the run. All the shared? “It’s a big reveal.”
A HOT sizzle reel, that you might be able to check out very soon here on EW.com. UPDATE: See it below!
Least Incisive Audience Question:
The Joss Whedon fan who “slept on the curb” to ask about getting Boreanaz to collaborate with Whedon again. “The experiences I had on the show were great….we’ll see. You guys keep pushing and maybe that’ll happen one day.”
The Winner of the Panel:
David Boreanaz because he knows how to get a rise out of the crowd. Between proposing an Angel movie, to talk of washing machine sex, to bashing The Vampire Diaries. (“Everyone carries around a diary? I’m confused. ‘Oh, I made love to a vampire night last night.’)
Question: I can’t stop thinking about how miserable Booth must feel alone in his house and how much Brennan and Christine are missing him. Please, can you cheer me up with a nice Bones spoiler?
Ausiello: The season premiere is tentatively titled… “The Future in the Past.” What does it mean?! “It’s a deep, dark secret,” responds exec producer Stephen Nathan as I twirl my mustache and plot a workaround involving Hart Hanson and Comic-Con. Mwahahahahahahaha.
I’ve just noticed screen captures from the last two episodes from season seven were not added into the gallery … I’ve added screen captures from the episode of Bones titled, The Suit on the Set into the gallery! For those that have not seen the episode, please be advised the screen captures will contain spoilers. Head over to the gallery for the latest additions.

Emily Deschanel chatted with ET about losing the baby weight and rumors of her show ending. The actress, who gave birth to her first child named Henry Hornsby in September 2011, tells Entertainment Tonight:
“My character was pregnant she’s the normal woman. She can take the time that it takes to lose the weight and I’m doing that myself. Yeah I haven’t lost all my weight yet hopefully I will eventually.”
The actress maintained a vegan diet throughout her pregnancy and has done so for 19 years. On being a new mom Deschanel says, “I love seeing his personality blossom.”
Emily says the rumors about her show not coming back are false. She says filming begins in July. “Our show was picked up months ago so it is coming back for the 8th season in September,” she revealed.
Ask Ausiello posted a spoiler regarding the “bonus” Bones episode. If you want to remain spoiler free, do not read below!
Question: We’re still waiting for some scoop on the bonus Bones episode titled, “The Gunk in the Garage.”
Ausiello: Did I forget to give you that scoop? Sorry, my bad. I’ve known for golly, a month now? The ep finds the team “investigating a victim who has been blown up by a bomb,” explains exec producer Stephen Nathan. “When they ID the victim and go to inform his widow, they find that he is still alive and living with her.” Bonus spoiler, per Nathan: “We also see Sweets running point in the investigation with a new and very attractive FBI agent played by [Shark’s] Danielle Panabaker.”
