"I'm a vegan, but you can be really unhealthy as a vegan, too. Vegan just means that you don't use animal products, so you don't wear leather, you don't wear wool, and you don't eat animal products. But you can eat french fries and stuff like that all day long." - Emily Deschanel

Variance Films has announced they will be releasing Anne Renton’s The Perfect Famiy, which stars Kathleen Turner in her first lead role in almost two decades. Turner stars as a religious suburban matriarch who must contend with her unconvential family.
Variance will be releasing the film theatrically in New York on May 4th with a future date to be determined for a wider expansion. The film will also be distributed on VOD by Gravitas Ventures. The film initially premiered at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival and went onto be the opening film at the 2011 Provincetown Film Festival.
Suburban mother and devout Catholic Eileen Cleary (Kathleen Turner) has always kept up appearances. When she runs for the Catholic Woman of the Year title at her local parish—an award she has coveted for years—her final test is introducing her family to the board for the seal of approval. Now she must finally face the nonconformist family she has been glossing over for years. Her gay daughter, Shannon (Emily Deschanel), a successful lawyer, is about to marry her life partner Angela (Angelique Cabral). Her unhappily married son Frank Jr. (Jason Ritter) is cheating on his wife with the local manicurist. And Eileen’s own marriage to a recovered alcoholic is pulling at the seams…
Fox’s midseason schedule shuffle isn’t over just yet. Buoyed by the strong reception Touch received with its winter sneak peek, Fox has moved the Kiefer Sutherland drama’s season premiere to Thursday, March 22, at 9/8c, where it will remain and lead out of American Idol.
To make way for the newbie, Bones will air the remainder of its seventh season on Mondays at 8 pm, beginning April 2. (Previously, Bones was to return from Emily Deschanel’s maternity leave-induced hiatus on April 5.)
House will thus return to its 9 o’clock perch on April 2, building up to its series finale with all-original episodes from there on. What’s more, Fox has scheduled a retrospective special looking back at House‘s eight-year run, to air Monday, May 21, at 8, followed by the show’s grand swan song. (Source)
Ask Ausiello posted his latest TV spoilers. Michael gave us an explaination to the “crazy” photos posted on Twitter by Bones Executive Producer, Stephan Nathan. Do not read further if you wish to remain spoiler free.
Question: Any scoop on these crazy pics from the set of Bones that exec producer Stephen Nathan has been posting to Twitter?
Ausiello: “Imagine Michael Bay’s take on Bones,” Nathan tells me of those images from Episode 12, which finds Booth and Brennan travelling to Hollywood to observe production of the film version of her latest book. “Hollywood might have [taken some creative liberties] with the material.”
After a delayed premiere and two breaks, the bulk of Bones seventh season is finally on the schedule at Fox. The network confirms the veteran procedural, starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, returns to the airwaves on Thursday, April 5. It enters the 9:00 p.m. timeslot after the freshman finale of The Finder. It’s spin-off, which has yet to match Bones in ratings, wraps up its 13-episode order on March 29.
Sidelined by Deschanel’s pregnancy, Bones order was originally cut to 13, but Fox brought the number up to 17 when she gave birth in September. The first 6 have already aired. Still, the complete episode count of the season remains a big question. Network entertainment president Kevin Reilly said at the winter Television Critics Association press tour that 22 could be on the table, schedule permitting.
“We programmed 17, but we ordered 22 for the season,” said Reilly. “We ordered as many as they could produce with Emily, so if they can produce 22 when she comes back, that’s what we’ll make… We ordered, ultimately, it ended up being 17 because that was all she could do. But if she comes back, they may ultimately end up making 22.”
Another question is when those episodes might air. Episodes 14-17 don’t yet have a home, with Reilly and showrunner Hart Hanson noting they may move into the next season or play in a separate run during the summer. (Source)

According to Tamara Taylor, her costar Emily is doing a great job balancing her hunt for fictitious killers on Bones and her newborn on the “extremely” baby-friendly set:
“Oh, my God. Henry is so beautiful,” gushed co-star Tamara Taylor, “He is such a smiley little lover. It’s so great getting our makeup done and hearing the baby like cooing in the trailer, it’s so nice to have that energy around.
“He’s got his little baby trailer. It’s nice that she gets to bring him with her so she doesn’t have to be away from him long,” says Tamara. ”She’s doing incredibly well. Really, I can’t imagine splitting my focus the way she is, and she’s doing a great job of it. She’s doing it all gracefully.”
The arrival of Brennan’s baby girl will happen soon after Bones returns this spring. According to David Boreanaz, the following things will be involved in that event:
- A horse
- A farm
- A lot of wine
Sounds like an episode not to be missed … except by those imbibing, perhaps. “There’s some trauma that happens that may twist the series a bit,” he teases. What trauma could change the direction of the show? And how on Earth are there horses and wine involved? (Source)
